Equality and Diversity
The Bar Standards Board has set up an Equality and Diversity Subgroup of the main Board, under the chairmanship of Emily Windsor, a barrister member of the BSB. The subgroup is currently developing the BSB's diversity action plan which will be subject to public consultation before implementation.

Equality and Diversity team
The Bar Standards Board is advised and supported on Equality and Diversity matters by the Equality and Diversity team, who also support the Bar Council. The team is led by Pamela Bhalla and Kathryn Hamylton who job-share the post of Equality and Diversity Advisor.

Their role is to provide advice on any equality or diversity matter to the BSB, Bar Council, chambers wishing to improve their equality and diversity practice, barristers with equality and diversity problems or queries, Practice Managers, clerks, pupils, BVC or law students. They work independently of all other BSB and Bar Council departments and report directly to the Chief Executive.
