Complaints of Professional Misconduct
The Bar Standards Board (BSB) regulates barristers in England and Wales and is responsible for making sure that the high standards of the profession are maintained. We publish a Code of Conduct that barristers must keep to, and we will consider taking action where there is evidence that the Code has been breached.
The main aims of our complaints and disciplinary system are to investigate complaints about the conduct of barristers and take action against barristers who have breached the Code of Conduct.
